Spent an enjoyable evening with the members of our FSJ Fire Department on Friday evening at their Christmas Dinner. I am so proud of our emergency services personnel! We thank them and their families for their commitment and service to our community.

On Thursday, City Council met with the Board of Education from our own School District #60 (Peace River North). It was especially exciting for me, having served on the Board of Education for the past 6 years, to attend and listen now from the perspective of a City Councillor. It is great to see these two elected bodies work together. I hope there are many partnerships between City and School District in our future!
This week I enjoyed several inspirational visioning sessions regarding the potential Community Sport Celebration project at the Pomeroy Sports Centre. I was reminded that there are so many reasons to be proud of our community!
I have been appointed by City Council as Alternate Director on the Peace River Regional District Board. I took the oath of office at the Inaugural Meeting of the Board on Friday, December 9th. It is truly an honour, a privilege, and an awesome responsibility!
