Voting
The location of the advance and general polls for this election will be at the Pomeroy Sport Centre from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following dates:

November 9, 2011 Advance Polls
November 16, 2011 Advance Polls
November 19, General Voting Day

A Special Voting Opportunity for the North Peace Care Centre and Heritage Manor Apartment complexes will be held on November 17, 2011 and information regarding the times will be circulated to those facilities.

Non-Resident Property Electors
People who own property within the City but live outside its boundaries can still vote in the upcoming election.  These property owners are required to fill out the non-resident property elector application form and the non-resident property elector consent form and submit these documents to City Hall.  Please note that if the land title has more than one property owner listed, only one of the property owners is allowed to vote.  All of the property owners on title must sign a consent form that indicates which property owner will be voting.  This documentation can be submitted to City Hall prior to election day or on election day at the polling station.

Fluoride Voting Opportunity  (formerly called Referendum)
City electors will also be voting on the continuation of fluoride in the City's water supply.  The question that will be part of the election ballot is as follows:

"Are you in favour of the City of Fort St. John continuing to fluoridate its water supply?"  
                             Yes                                  No


Mail Ballots
Do you expect to be out of the City during the three voting opportunites in November?  Do you have a physical disability, illness or injury that affects your mobility?  If the answer is yes to either of these questions, you are eligible to use the mail ballot process.  Please click  Mail Ballot Voting Information to obtain information regarding this service.

Official Election Results
The preliminary election results will be announced the evening of November 19, 2011 after the polls close.  The official election results will be presented to Council at the November 28, 2011 Regular Council Meeting.
